My writing and speeches are normally very organized and straight to the point. They consist of a thesis statement, three body paragraphs to support my facts or thoughts on the subject, and a conclusion stating the outcome of my facts or thoughts. Although I know at some points depending on the topic I am writing on my writing can sometimes get a little sloppy at points and maybe a little unorganized.

A thesis statement is important for an academic audience because it helps state what your essay or speech is going to be over. The thesis is also the statement you are trying to prove to your readers in you writing of your essay.

Also the PEE structure is important for an academic audience because it includes the main point, evidence to support the main point, and an explanation. This also helps you as a writer by keeping your essay organized and smooth flowing for your audience. Therefore they are able to understand your point and see a different side of view than what their view may be.
